League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LPL, 7/28/20

FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.

I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.

Let's break down the LPL slate for Tuesday, July 28th, and see who stands out (Just a heads up, the slate locks at 5:00 a.m. EST.). Here are the starting lineups for the LPL.

LNG Esports 2-10 7-21 4.0 2.00

This slate features four teams all from the bottom seven in the league standings, giving us some interesting choices. This isn't high-quality League of Legends, but we can still find fantasy points for our lineups.

Star - 1.5x Points

Wings, Bilibili Gaming ($9,400) isn't the best ADC in the LPL, but that's what you would expect from a player on a team with a record of 4-8. In fact, since all of the teams on this slate are in the bottom half of the league, no one player stands out too much. Nonetheless, this is a winnable matchup for Bilibili Gaming, and if that's the case, Wings would be in a spot for plenty of fantasy points.

Bilibili Gaming have lost their last two series, and it resulted in lower fantasy points for Wings. But, prior to that, he went through a five-series stretch where he posted 83 FanDuel points or more three times -- with a high watermark of 119 FanDuel points. If that's the potential ceiling of points he can bring to your lineup, he is worth rostering in the Star spot to capture that upside.

Top

Xiaoxiang, Edward Gaming ($7,800) has only been in the starting lineup for a few series and looked solid in his two most recent outings. In those two series, he racked up double-digit kills and double-digit assists in each series, while only dying a total of 11 times. That led to him posting 84 and 63 FanDuel points, which is pretty darn good for a Top-Laner on a very average team.

Even though they are an average team, Edward Gaming come in as the favorite versus LNG Esports (2-10), so you can look to Xiaoxiang at his modest salary for some relative safety on this slate.

Jungle

Haro, Rogue Warriors ($8,300) could be the most consistent player on the slate, regardless of position, and has been doing so on a bottom-tier team. Over his last five series, Haro has posted 81, 85, 83, 132, and 71 FanDuel points -- which is flat-out unbelievable for a jungler. That is the level of production you would expect to see out of your ADC or Mid, not your jungler, and Haro comes in at only $8.3K.

Since their series against Bilibili Gaming is a coin-flip, stacking Rogue Warriors is a legit tournament option, and adding Haro to that would be a near must.

Mid

Wuming, Rogue Warriors ($8,800) would be another player who falls into the category of performing well on a bad team. He was out of the lineup for a few series, but since rejoining the starting lineup, Wuming has 76 FanDuel points or more in four-straight series, including one at 102 points.

There is no doubt Scout ($9,100) is also a great option in the Mid-Lane since Edward Gaming are the favorites, but Wuming is just a bit cheaper and is actually producing more fantasy points compared to Scout.

ADC

Hope, Edward Gaming ($10,200) is the most expensive player on the slate, and you should be expecting him to be popular given the fact Edward Gaming are the largest favorite on the slate. Hope isn't among the top 10 in the LPL when it comes to Kill/Death/Assist (KDA), but is averaging the fifth-most kills per game (4.28). A truly interesting situation, since he has immense upside due to the kills, but it also means he dies a lot -- the fifth-most deaths per game (2.52).

He has posted 90 and 107 FanDuel points twice in his last six series, and if that is the ceiling he can bring, you should be looking to him as a solid option as the favorite tonight.

Support

XinMo, Bilibili Gaming ($7,200) is one of the cheapest players on the slate and makes a great value play, which will allow you to pay up for the top stars. XinMo is putting up strong numbers when it comes to the assist department -- 12 or more in seven straight series -- but is falling behind with 7 deaths or more in four of his last five series. That is what we see from a lot of support players, but given his cheaper salary, he should continue to produce viable fantasy points.

Team

Rogue Warriors ($7,600) come in on a four-series winning streak -- their only four wins of the season. This has led them to posting their best results of the Summer Split with 48, 61, 61, and 56 FanDuel points. Rogue Warriors are shaping up to be a very enticing stack on this slate due to their prices and recent production.
