League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LPL/LCK, 7/25/20

FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.

I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.

Let's break down the LPL/LCK slate for Saturday, July 25th, to see who stands out (Just a heads up, the slate locks at 4:00 a.m. EST.). Here are the starting lineups for the LPL. Generally, the LCK doesn't release starting lineups prior to the games.

T1 are overwhelming favorites against Hanwha, while the other matchup is a coin-flip, featuring two of the top three teams in the league.

Star - 1.5x Points

Chovy, DragonX ($9,000) has been a lock in the Mid-Lane for the entire Summer Split, and there is no reason to stop going to him just because he has a tougher matchup on his hands. DragonX (10-1) are the best team in arguably the best region in the world, and you shouldn't overthink this one -- look to Chovy and other players from DragonX.

Chovy comes in with 62 FanDuel points or more in 91% of his series this split, including double-digit assists in every single series. The overall consistency he brings to his game and your lineups is borderline unmatched on this slate, and at his salary, he can exceed value in a hurry.

Top

GimGoon, FunPlus Phoenix ($8,000) will be in the starting lineup for FunPlus Phoenix and has a modest salary, even as a favorite versus Edward Gaming. In his first series, he posted 4 kills, 18 assists, and 6 deaths for a total of 72 FanDuel points. Since that is his only series played, we can't look back through the entire split to draw conclusions.

With FunPlus being the favorite, look to use GimGoon in a stack -- since he is a Top-Laner and new to the lineup, which will help him reach his potential of fantasy points in a more efficient manner.

Jungle

Aix, Vici Gaming ($7,700) will be in the starting lineup for Vici Gaming over Leyan ($8,000). It seems they are swapping the starting job for every other series with Aix taking this one. His salary is on the cheaper side, which will allow you to pay up for a T1 or DragonX stack. Aix comes in with 41 FanDuel points or more in three of his last four series and might not be exciting, but is effective when he plays.

Mid

Faker, T1 ($9,200) is having a good, but not great Summer Split, and that can be tough to say about the greatest League of Legends player of all time. Faker is sitting around the top five or better in average assists per game, overall Kill/Death/Assist (KDA), fewest deaths per game, and highest average Creep Score (CS) per game. He might be considered an elite Mid-Laner, but his stats have him right on the edge of what we consider elite in DFS.

He comes in with 71 FanDuel points or more in four of his last five series, and due to the fact he is taking on Hanwha Life (1-9), he should be able to grab the sweep bonus points and match this recent level of production.

ADC

Ruler, GenG ($9,200) was on our radar a few days ago and posted a very solid 85 FanDuel points against Team Dynamics. After another strong performance, he still finds himself in the top three or better for average kills per game (5.28), average assists per game (5.2), overall KDA (6.55), and Creep Score per minute (10.31). He comes to this series having scored 85 FanDuel points or more in seven of his last eight series.

Ruler is the fifth-most expensive ADC on the slate, yet all of the players above him cannot match his level of production over these last eight series. Ruler and GenG are the underdogs against DragonX, but he still brings plenty of fantasy points to your lineups.

Support

Keria, DragonX ($7,800) is the best support in the LCK and should be considered for all of your lineups. He holds the highest KDA (6.41) among support players, while we see the player in second sitting at (4.73). He is a full step above the player in second place and has showcased that with 30 assists or more in three of his last four series. The floor he brings to your lineup is super safe and can be used in all types of lineups.

Team

Vici Gaming ($7,700) come in with double-digit towers taken and six dragons or more in six of their last seven series, giving them 33 FanDuel points or more in -- you guessed it -- six of seven series. They are looking strong right now and can be used at their very reasonable salary.
