League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LPL/LCK, 7/15/20

FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.

I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up, whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.

Let's break down the LPL/LCK slate for Wednesday, July 15th to see who stands out. (Just a heads up, the slate locks at 4:00 a.m. EST.) Here are the starting lineups for the LPL. Generally, the LCK doesn't release starting lineups prior to the games.

JD Gaming are heavy favorites versus Vici Gaming, while the other matchup is a coin-flip.

DAMWON Gaming come in as the largest favorites on the entire slate and make for a clear stacking option versus Team Dynamics.

Star - 1.5x Points

Smlz, OMG ($9,400) has been a solid ADC for OMG despite the fact they are a middle of the pack team in the LPL. With a team record of 3-6, you would expect plenty of subpar performances from Smlz, but he has found a way to produce quality fantasy points in almost every series. He comes in with 69 FanDuel points or more in seven of his nine series.

We normally don't see that level of production from losing players. That level of consistency comes from him averaging the eighth-most (5.39) assists per game and the eighth-best (310.3) average Creep Score (CS) per game. This gives him a solid floor, and if OMG are able to win the series against eStar (2-8), he will be able to reach his ceiling.

Top

Curse, OMG ($7,800) offers a slight bit of salary relief, which can go a long way if you are trying to jam in the top studs. Much like his teammate, Smlz, Curse has been able to produce solid fantasy points regardless of whether or not OMG win. Through his first nine series of the Summer Split, Curse has posted 54 FanDuel points or more in six series. This is due to the fact he is averaging 3.55 kills per game, which is the highest among Top-Laners in the LPL. He is a standout star on a bad team and offers plenty of fantasy production at a modest salary.

Jungle

Clid, GenG ($8,100) is averaging the fourth-most (6.74) assists per game, the second-most (2.47) kills per game, and the fourth-fewest (2.11) deaths per game among junglers in the LCK. He is a top-tier jungler for GenG, who are sitting in third place (6-2) and are set to take on Afreeca Freecs (5-3, in fifth).

GenG are the favorites in this series, and you always want to focus on rostering players who will be on the winning side. Clid makes a great addition to a GenG stack, but he can also be used as a one-off since he brings a high floor of points to your lineups.

Mid

Yagao, JD Gaming ($8,800) is one of the elite options on the slate and should be popular given that JD Gaming are large favorites over Vici Gaming. He comes in with 76 FanDuel points or more in six straight series, with a high of 104 points. He not only has a great floor of points but a super-high ceiling, too. ShowMaker ($9,100) is also a great option in the mid lane, but if you need save even just a few hundred dollars of salary, Yagao is a fantastic choice.

ADC

LokeN, JD Gaming ($10,000) is the second-most expensive player on this slate but is well worth paying up for. JD Gaming are strong favorites versus Vici Gaming, and you should be looking toward them as a stacking option. LokeN comes in with a staggering 95 FanDuel points or more in five of his last six series, and he posted double-digit kills and assists in each series.

LokeN's floor of points is what other players consider their ceiling -- he is that good at ADC in the Summer Split. He comes in with the second-highest (6.2) Kill/Death/Assist (KDA) among ADCs in the LPL along with averaging the most (6.73) assists per game, the third-most (4.55) kills per game, and the third-fewest (1.82) deaths per game. Find the salary, and lock him in.

Support

BeryL, DAMWON Gaming ($8,000) is ballin' out for DAMWON Gaming, which can be weird to say for a support player. As you can imagine, support players don't get the glory in the actual game, and they don't often get a ton of fantasy points in DFS. BeryL is finding a way to do the latter, picking up 47 FanDuel points or more in each of his eight series of the Summer Split. Paying up for support isn't a popular tactic, but he offers a level of consistency which can be tough to find at this position.

Team

Oh My God ($7,500) are putting up fantasy points in almost every series they play -- regardless if they come away with the win or not. A record of 3-6 is bad, but 35 FanDuel points or more in six of their nine series is good. Lock in those points at a reasonable salary and move on.
