League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LEC, 7/17/20

After a break, which League of Legends stars are primed for plenty of fantasy points?

FanDuel is offering League of Legends daily fantasy, and look, if you don't know what that is, it's okay.

I have you covered with a detailed but straightforward primer to get you all set up whether you're a DFS player looking to dig into the new sport or a League of Legends fan ready to take your action over to FanDuel.

Let's break down the LEC slate for Friday, July 17th, which locks at 12:00 Eastern, and see who stands out.

ADC

Hans sama (Rogue; $9,600) - Hans sama ranks third among AD Carries in KDA at 5.9 this split and faces FC Schalke, who have given up an average of 30.1 FanDuel points per game to opposing ADCs this split. Rogue have been the best team in the split based on adjusted tower differential. Schalke have allowed an average of 30.1 FanDuel points per game to opposing AD Carries, the most across any position this split.

Others to Consider: Rekkles ($10,200), Carzzy ($9,800), Comp ($9,200)

Mid

Larssen (Rogue; $8,600) - The most productive fantasy midlaner of the split, Larssen faces FC Schalke as a big favorite. Larssen has a gold, experience, and creep score differential advantage at 10 minutes on average over his opponents. No mid-laner has fewer kills this split than Abbedagge, too. Rogue should roll here, and Larssen is an MVP candidate for this price.

Others to Consider: Humanoid ($8,800), Caps ($9,000), FEBIVEN ($8,000)

Top

Orome (MAD Lions; $8,100) - Orome sits second in the split in kills among top laners and is pretty easily first in KDA at 6.3 (Alphari is second at 4.5). This is despite operating at gold, experience, and creep score differentials at 10 minutes. However, against Excel Esports; Kryze, the gap shouldn't be that big. MAD Lions should get an easy win, which means extra fantasy opportunities for Orome.

Others to Consider: Bwipo ($8,500), Finn ($7,900), Cabochard ($7,700),

Jungle

Selfmade (Fnatic; $8,900) - Selfmade sits at the top of the salary board for the slate, and he hasn't quite been as productive from a fantasy standpoint as some other junglers. That being said, he still has a split-high 24 kills and is third in KDA among junglers. Razork spends a lot of time with a respawn clock, as he has died 25 times this split, second-most of any jungler. We could get a classic Selfmade match on Friday.

Others to Consider: Inspired ($8,300), Shad0w ($8,400), Jankos ($8,700)

Support

LIMIT (SK Gaming; $6,800) - LIMIT is a cheap support in a game projected to be fairly close, and with a low ceiling for most supports, we don't want to spend up unless the price is right. Vander ($7,500) is the nuts pick because he's a big favorite over a bad team and has been dominant this split. That being said, LIMIT still has viability if he and Crownshot get a lead against Comp and labrov. The data points to SK Gaming having the edge in the lane.

Others to Consider: Vander ($7,500), Doss ($7,200), Kaiser ($7,600)

Teams

With teams, it's best to treat them as a position you don't build around or punt with. Put another way: don't force it, but don't ignore it. Kind of like defense in NFL DFS. You should target the biggest favorites you can within your salary cap.

Teams to Consider: Rogue ($7,600), MAD Lions ($7,700), SK Gaming ($7,100)
