Premier League Betting Guide for Matchweek 11

Watford and Bournemouth are off to surprisingly fast starts this season. Should we expect them to stay hot during Matchweek 11?

Bournemouth are shockingly in front of Manchester United in the league table after the first 10 games, but does that mean we should expect them to win at home against United this weekend?

Using FanDuel's sportsbook as the source for lines, let's take a look at some bets you should zero in on this week.

Newcastle vs Watford

Watford to Win +185

Watford are still not getting respect from bookies, as they are almost a 2/1 long shot to earn a victory over 19th-place Newcastle this weekend. Watford boast a 4W-1D-0L record this season against teams in the bottom half of the EPL table, and they are currently holding down seventh place.

At this point, we are more than 25% through the season, and Watford appear to be legit as they sit sixth in the WhoScored.com team ratings, which take into account a combination of shots taken, shots conceded and dribbles among other things. This sample size is starting to get large enough where it appears that Watford are a much better team than they were projected to be this preseason.

Newcastle may be at home, but their 0-3-7 record is putrid. It seems as if they will have a hard time against any sides with quality this season as they have yet to earn a single point (0W-0D-5L) against squads in the top half of the table.

Bournemouth vs Man United

Bournemouth +1 (-130)

Manchester United's early season struggles have been well documented as the Red Devils are shockingly sitting in eighth place in the league table with a mediocre 5-2-3 record and an even goal difference. Away from home, United are an even more mediocre 2-1-2, which does not bode well for them this weekend.

Surprisingly, Bournemouth are actually three points ahead of Manchester United in the standings, and the Cherries are undefeated at home (3-2-0). Despite this, Manchester United remain heavy favorites, and you can get close to even odds at Bournemouth to cover the 1.0-goal spread. Given United's early season struggles, Bournemouth seems like a good bet to cover with the one-goal cushion.

Huddersfield vs Fulham

Over 2.5 Goals (-108)

This matchup features the two worst defensive teams in the EPL as Fulham lead the league in goals conceded (28) and Huddersfield are not far behind (21). Fulham's last four games have finished with three or more total goals, and eight of their 10 matches this campaign have finished with at least three total goals.

Conversely, only four of Huddersfield's eight games have finished with more than 2.5 total goals, mainly due to their inability to score (Huddersfield have managed to score only four goals over their 10 league matches). However, given the fact that Fulham have conceded at least two goals in all but one of their games this season, it seems this could be an opportunity for Huddersfield to be more aggressive and push for goals, helping this match hit the over.
