FanDuel Premier League Matches to Target in Matchweek 32

Manchester City and Liverpool have high ceilings this weekend, but their recent form suggests their opponents can find the back of the net.

The four-match main FanDuel slate this past Tuesday ended up requiring a little ingenuity to come out on top. Three of the four Premier League matches ended with two goals scored and three keepers notched clean sheets. Value across the fixtures was pretty similar.

The quick turnaround for matchweek 32 brings a more familiar six-game slate with more scoring options. Six of the top 10 teams are in action. Three of the bottom four teams will also be playing on Saturday. A loss for next-to-last Middlesbrough to Burnley, currently 14th in the table, may all but clinch their relegation fate.

Only one of the six matches has an over/under higher than 2.5 goals. That match includes the day's biggest favorite, Manchester City, and is where we start for this slate.

Manchester City vs. Hull City

The betting odds show plenty of faith in Manchester City, and this match being played on their home ground at the Etihad Stadium. City come in having not won any of their last four matches across all competitions while Hull have won three of their last four. There has been at least two goals scored in each of the last five matches between these squads with an average of three goals scored in that time.

Despite a tumultuous season and an uncertain future, the danger man for Manchester City is Sergio Agüero. He averages a goal every 99 minutes at the Etihad Stadium and scored 25 goals in his last 30 appearances in front of the home fans. He has scored nine goals in his last nine games across all competitions and has a goal in each of his last three matches. Agüero is the most expensive player on the slate at $12,900.

It is highly likely that Manchester City will control this match in Hull's half of the field, so many of their front six are in play. David Silva is averaging 33 points over the last two matches and is a modest $8,700. He has not scored a goal for Manchester City since the FA Cup match on March 11, but he did record an assist last weekend against Arsenal.

Hull are hampered by injuries, but recent form suggests that they can score on the counter attack. Oumar Niasse has three goals in his last three games with Hull tallying eight times in that stretch. His attack partner in this match will likely be Evandro, who is just $4,200.

The Hull back line should be busy, and Harry Maguire is an injury doubt. Michael Dawson, who has made 16 appearances this season, should replace Maguire and is listed at $5,500 this week. Dawson averages 0.6 points fewer than Andrea Ranocchia, who will cost $6,300 against Manchester City. Dawson and Ranocchia both average 10 defensive actions per match and will have plenty of opportunities to rack them up against Manchester City.

Stoke City vs. Liverpool

Stoke have lost only once in their last nine Premier League home matches and welcome Liverpool to bet365 Stadium this weekend. Matches involving Liverpool have had a league-high 105 goals scored in them. Each of the last two times these teams have met in Premier League play have ended in a 4-1 Liverpool victory.

Stoke have given up five goals over their current three-game losing streak. Glen Johnson should return at right back to help the Stoke defense against the explosive Liverpool forwards. Johnson scored over 17 points last time out and costs $5,100. Even with Johnson back, Stoke's track record of struggling to keep clean sheets against teams in the top half of the table should continue.

Liverpool have scored 16 goals in their last seven matches but could be without Philippe Coutinho after he was substituted off because of illness in midweek action. Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, and Sadio Mane are also sidelined. The injuries open the door for Lucas Leiva to have an impact at an affordable $6,100. Leiva has recorded 13 tackles in his last two matches and scored over 39 points against Everton last weekend.

Liverpool may have more fire power, but they are definitely not known for their defensive prowess and the odds say that Stoke will score as well. Liverpool's last clean sheet came on February 11, which was their first shut out since New Year's Eve. Saido Berahino is expected to start as the lone forward for Stoke and is only $6,700, which could bring big returns against a shaky Liverpool defense.

Good luck this weekend, and we'll be back for matchweek 33 with two more matches to target on what will likely be another six-game slate.
