4 FanDuel Premier League Studs to Target for Matchweek 9

Manchester City is a massive 3.0-goal home favorite against Burnley, putting their stars in a sublime spot. Which other high-cost players should you target?

As is the case when playing any sport on FanDuel, it’s imperative to hit on high-priced studs, the players in which you’ve made the biggest investment. This is especially true with forwards in soccer. Not only are the top-end forwards expensive, they are the ones most likely to put the ball in the back of the net, and goals are often the difference between winning and losing in DFS.

Let’s take a look at some high-priced players -- all across the pitch -- who, despite costing a good chunk of change, are worth the investment.

This article is geared toward FanDuel's main slate, which begins at 10:00 a.m. EST Saturday and features seven matches.

Matchweek 9
Saturday, October 20th
Watford at Wolverhampton
Southampton at Bournemouth
Tottenham at West Ham
Brighton at Newcastle
Burnley at Manchester City
Fulham at Cardiff City
Liverpool at Huddersfield

Well, you've heard this one before -- Manchester City and Liverpool are going to dominate ownership. City are 3.0-goal favorites with 90.1% implied win odds, per Betfair, and a 3.25-goal implied total on a slate where just one other team is greater than a 0.5-goal favorite. Liverpool, meanwhile, are that other team, installed as a 1.5-goal road favorite with 76.3% implied win odds for their date at Huddersfield.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves are 0.5-goal favorites. Among that group, Spurs 1.75-goal implied total leads the way as their London derby with West Ham has a 3.0-goal over/under. The Cardiff-Fulham match is a pick'em.
