Craft a Trade
12 team, PPR. Have to start: QB, RB, WR, 2 RB/WR, TE

My roster:

QB - Tannehill & Palmer
RB - Peterson, Forsett, Morris, Stewart, Foster
WR - M. Evans, A. Johnson, M. Wallace, D. Funchess
TE - D. Walker, T. Eifert

His roster:

QB - Brees & M. Ryan
RB - J. Bell, R. Bush, K. Davis, D. Williams, D. Cobb
WR - O. Beckham, A. Green, B. Marshall, K. Allen, P. Garcon
TE - V. Davis

All I really want from his team is A.J. Green...I'm hoping that he'd be willing to do just a one-for-one...one of my stud RBs for A.J. But in the event he wants to spread things out a bit, what would you recommend?

By the way, all trades in this league must be numerically even (1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc...no 2 for 1's or anything like that).

If it is your opinion that I shouldn't bother making a trade at all, please let me know that too! I think I'm probably fine at WR, given that I only have to start 1 per week...but I just love me some AJ Green.

    I'd start with Morris/Wallace for Green/Allen and see if he'll bite. If he likes Forsett more, then swap Forsett with Morris (or see if he'd do Forsett for Green straight up). So much of this depends on how he views those guys.

    I know, and he's a stranger to me that I have no way of contacting. Trading doesn't open up for another week, so I've just gotta wait for now. He's gotta be sweating his RB situation though...with Joique still hurt and not practicing, I can't imagine he's confident he's got even one legit starter on his team. I like your suggestion...I'd probably have to give up Forsett, it being PPR and all...but I like the idea of getting Allen along with the deal. I actually have Allen ranked higher than Wallace, but who knows how he sees them. Forsett for Green straight up was my initial thought...the other direction I thought about taking it was trying to sell him Foster, but he needs RBs NOW...plus, I just read a blurb from a beat reporter down in Houston that Foster is already working out, and is expected to return between weeks 2 and 4. Crazy

    I hate not knowing who I'm trading with! You never want to start with your best offer, but you can't lowball too much because you risk getting a bad rep. And you're right, there's no way he looks at his team and says, "I like it"

    I think you are pretty set for now. It would be hard for me to say trade forsett when his upside is so large in ppr (forte helped me win my league last year so even a lesser amount of his production from forsett would be worth holding on to). However I cannot fault you for wanting Green. His talent+ contract year is a powerful combination especially with everyone down on him because of a disappointing last season. I would try to give him morris and stewart for green and cobb, but that might just be because i am liking stewart this year a little too much. In the end if want Green bad enough you'll just have to go with your gut and trade forsett.

    Forsett for AJ Green - if you really want AJ green

    With your RB depth I would get rid of Forsett only because if I was the other guy I wouldnt trade AJ Green for a Morris or a Stewart. If Foster comes back healthy then youll be replacing forsett with him, if not the combo of Morris and Stewart for a 2nd rb is managable (if you even decide to play 2 rbs).
