Blount + Agholor/Blue for Doug Martin
My team is

Foster, Hill, Gordon, Gurley, Abdullah, Blount, Blue
Demaryius, Matthews, Allen Robinson, Agholor, Cruz, Wheaton
Eifert
Jets

Got offered Gurley + Blue for Martin, thinking of counterint with Blount + Blue / Agholor. I would pick up one of David Johnson / Royal / Funchess / Dorsett / Devante Parker

I guess the biggest question is, why do you need Doug Martin? I don't think I'm opposed to giving up any of the 3 players you mentioned in your counter-offer idea...but I don't know that I would bother if the only thing I was getting back was Doug Martin. That's just me, though...I'm not really drinking the Kool-Aid there.

Yeah I think maybe I am partly buying the hype, partly not trusting a Pats running back and partly not being able to see myself play Blue or Agholor (mainly because I'm unlikely to play him with Matthews). If Martin comes anywhere close to his rookie year he could be pretty valuable - at least while I wait for Gurley / Foster.

Beyond that, just kinda want to start some trades going and wouldn't mind freeing up a roster spot.

Do you have a preference between Agholor and Blue?

Not trusting the Pats is totally legit. Blue will certainly be playable...I just am not sure I'm like psyched about it or anything. I guess I feel the same way about him as I do Martin. I don't know...I asked the CBS podcast guys how Doug Martin all of a sudden re-entered the picture, after being so universally panned last year (not like much has changed), and their answer was kind of underwhelming. More or less "because the coach said he's the starter." Well, we've all been there before, and it doesn't guarantee anything. To me, Martin just doesnt have that much upside

I probably like Agholor a little more just because of his offense? Although last year was definitely an outlier for rookie WR success...probably will not be so widespread this year. But Houston is literally a dumpster fire on offense at this point. I'd like to see more on Gordon before I make that call, though. I'm kind of in the camp that the hype on Forsett is a little high. I think he'll be good, but I don't understand why people are so confident that he'll be a higher-end RB2

Fair enough. I am a sucker for preseason hype (probably why I took Arian Foster...).What about something like... Gordon and Blount for Forsett? I'm not feeling very positive about Gordon now - was very happy with him at flex, but much much less so as a RB2 for most of the season...

Is there someone else you think I should look at instead of Forsett then? Or do you think I should I just stick with what I have for now? As I said, I'd be much more comfortable with a RB2 I was more confident in and then playing Abdullah / Robinson at flex (with Gurley & Foster to come in as the season progresses)

Well, and that's the thing...you've got a couple guys who you know are probably going to be there for you at some point before it becomes pointless...I don't know, I love the thrill of trading and negotiating sometimes, but it's pretty early, especially w/ the guys you're talking about now

Hmmm. Yeah I guess you are right. Thanks for your help

Well if you're gonna make a trade, leave Agholor out of it. Blount and Blue for Martin isnt terrible because the Texans' RB situation is awful and the Pats never stick to one RB, and Martin has a ton of upside if he's really looking as good as everyone is saying.
