Boom/Bust lineup
Going into the last week before playoffs, I can only make it in if I win, the team ahead of me loses, and I outscore him by 50 points (PPR, otherwise standard ESPN settings). I'm trying to come up with the highest desperation upside lineup I can, because his team has averaged 10 ppg more than mine. Was hoping that the fine NumberFire community could lend me some opinions. I need help with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 W/R/T. My TE and DST are already decided (Jimmy Graham/Lions)
QB (pick 1):
Tony Romo vs PHI (currently in starting lineup if healthy)
Tom Brady @ GB
RB (pick 2 or 3):
Le'Veon Bell vs NO (currently in starting lineup as RB)
Rashad Jennings @ JAC (currently in starting lineup as RB)
Mark Ingram @ PIT (currently in starting lineup as FLEX)
Alfred Morris @ IND
Jeremy Hill @ TB
Tre Mason vs OAK
Daniel Herron vs WAS
WR (pick 2 or 3):
Jeremy Maclin @ DAL (currently in starting lineup as WR)
Odell Beckham Jr @ JAC (currently in starting lineup as WR)
DeAndre Hopkins vs TEN
Jordan Matthews @ DAL
Mohamed Sanu @ TB
K (pick 1): leaning towards grabbing Tucker here.
Mason Crosby vs NE
some FA options include:
Justin Tucker vs SD
Dan Carpenter vs CLE
Blair Walsh vs CAR
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Desperation mode here.
QB: Tom Brady. DAL running game is on fire and Mark Sanchez ain't all that so it might not be a high scoring game. Belicheck can do anything with the backfield including nothing at all. Plus Rodgers and GB are on fire and it might turn into a shootout.
RB: Bell, Ingram and Morris. PIT will Polamolu and Ike Taylor back - bad game for Brees, maybe good game for Ingram. Even with the bad NO pass defense it might not be a shootout and PIT might lean on the ground game - Bell is elite and Forsett crushed NO Monday. Morris is the only thing that works in WAS.
WR: OBJ all day! He's an endzone monster. JAC isn't actually that bad of a D but he's a must start (BTW don't start Jennings - you limit your upside). Jeremy Maclin.
K: I'm probably starting Crosby but honestly there's no predicting kickers.
