I still like Edelman better, especially in PPR. Gronk has eaten into his catches no doubt, and LaFell is the better deep threat, but Edelman started off last year this same way before putting up big numbers late in the season. He's great at getting open, Brady knows him well, and that's worth a lot.

In PPR, I agree. (Shame on me for not asking!) Otherwise, I would still go with LaFell.

I would. As Gronk has gotten better and better, Edelman has been needed less and less in big spots, especially the red and end zones. LaFell is a different type of player: he's Brady's best downfield threat by far, and Brady is starting to trust him more and more, to the point that's HE is now getting some of those red zone looks as well.

Edelman is not going to completely fall off the map, and if I could get both I'd try to find a way, but I think LaFell puts up better numbers from here forward.
