COMMISH Q: Should this trade be rejected?
Team A in my league (2-QB PPR) has only 2 QB's, and one of them is on BYE this week, leaving him with only 1 starter. Since we play in a 10-team 2-QB league, QB's are pretty scarce and there were only 2 remaining available QB's on the waiver that had starting roles, so those got snatched up by other teams, specifically to deny him a QB. So he picks up EJ Manuel (not a starter) and gets the league taco to trade him Kyle Orton and Percy Harvin for his EJ Manuel and Wes Welker. Is this a trade I can reject, or is this just someone making a really bad trade that I can't do anything about?

if a guy has no other option but to trade for a qb, then you can't call any deal a bad deal. he's playing to try and win this week. i don't think welker is all that fantastic of a wr and his upside is muted by being the 4th receiving option most weeks and possibly the 5th offensive option when you factor in hillman. but the guy in my league who owns him wanted a rb2 for him. so folks still value him highly. i don't have an issue with it as long as both teams are trying to improve their situation. btw, my league doesn't veto trades. we're all grown adults and trades don't really show their value until the end of the season. only time i step in as commissioner is if there are claims of collusion.

Yeah, Not a bad trade. I would much rather have welker. He's due and is finally getting into gm shape. He could be a nice little buy low candidate. Trade seems fair. I'd let it through.

Well Percy Harvin isn't a sure thing anymore. I would Say let it go through even though EJ isnt even playing

Looks like I'm a day late on this, but it is a bad trade, sure - but that doesn't mean you should stop it. Unless someone is colluding, you let them play the game.

I think it's just a bad trade. Decker was an elite WR2 in Denver, but he hasn't done much with the Jets. I think Percy will fall into a similar fate. The offense is just horrible. And Welker is hard to predict this year. He's been on the bench in most of the leagues I've seen. Maybe the guy thinks Welker will turn it around, who knows.
