Questions
Is anyone going to scoop up Eli?
I've got a 10 team league where Tony Romo is my only QB. He's not exactly lighting it up this year, and everyone already has their established backup QB. Needless to say, some weeks I'm not going to want to start Romo. After last night and the previous two weeks, do you guys think I should target Eli and start him or Romo based on matchup, or is it still too risky starting him? He has looked good lately....

No, I'd rather have Bortles or Bridgewater

He hasn't lit it up yet, but I am getting the impression from the way they are playing that they are setting up the running game now so he can start passing, and I think that will start this week. There is no need to carry 2 QB's in a 10 teamer, so you have to decide whether to stream the position or just trust in Romo. I don't trust the Giants, or Eli.

I guess my fear is of being late to the party on Eli's renaissance. Which, admittedly is an unlikely proposition. But I don't really trust Romo either, and IF Eli has re-emerged as a viable every week starter in this new offense that is clicking for now, wouldn't it be good to have him on my bench before others with questionable QB's in my league tried to jump on him?

Lot of ifs, and I find it hard to believe that in a 10 team league anyone has a questionable enough starter to look at Eli. If you want to be early to a party, pick up Bridgewater as your backup and see how he does. If you don't trust Romo, just stream the position. There are plenty of guys that have good matchups each week, even if 9 of the teams in your league have 2QBs, that leaves at least 8 QBs playing each week on the wire.

Just wondering if everyone watched the game last night. Eli rushed a TD and passed for 4TDs, I would say that is lighting it up as much as anyone can light it up 30+ points... If you have someone to drop might be a good idea to get him. He is playing the dirty birds (ATL) next week which should be a good passing matchup.

Yeah. Everyone seems really nonchalant about said 30+ point game. I get the idea that it's not worth a roster spot to have a 2nd QB in a two team league, and there is still a lot of ifs involved about the Giants and Eli, but with suspect-back Romo as my only QB, I figure if I have a roster spot I can spare I could take a chance that Eli might have begun a legitimate turn-around. Thanks for the counter-advice.

I feel you have some time to think about it... I mean he will be on waivers through Tuesday right so see what Romo does this weekend and then decide.
