Questions
Which TE?
Picked up Gronk and also Tim Wright as his handcuff. Should I drop Wright and pick up Kelce?

Did you not have a backup for Gronk prior to NE signing Wright? If you didn't have a backup then, why worry about it now? Seems like you're making moves simply based on fantasy football news alerts. Understand why you like Kelce vs. Wright and choose based on that. Don't react to the headline news alone.

My backup for Gronk has been Wright. Just wondering if in the long run Kelce would be the better pick over Wright given his potential. Heath Miller and Fleener are also still out there. Not reacting to headline news, just looking to see what would be best for the long run in case Gronk goes down.

Long run, meaning just this season, I'd back Gronk up with Miller. Remember Zach Sudfeld from last year...? No one can replace [a healthy] Gronk one-for-one points wise. If you're talking dynasty league then it's a different story. Also, I have Gronk in a bunch of my leagues personally and I backed him up with Rudolph and Cameron most times; I have him in one league where I also have Cameron and Graham! So I kind of made sure to protect the pick when I could since I was using a 3rd/4th round pick on Gronk. Most people assumed I wouldn't draft another TE after taking Gronk which allowed me to get the other TE's for decent value.

Thanks for the enlightenment; really needed it. So Graham is still out there, would you still go with Miller?

    Did you mean Gresham...?

No, Graham from Hou...you said Graham so I thought that's who you were referring to but I'm guessing Jimmy lol. That's 3 solid TEs you got there.

Yep, Jimmy! Lol. He's acting as my third #1/2 WR and Gronk is the "true" TE that I use at flex. I should also say that it's an 8 team league. I would never try that crap in larger leagues.

Haha sounds good to me...I like your game plan...so I'm guessing I should drop Wright and pick up Miller for a more solid back up for Gronk?

Man I need to talk to you more often, seems like you got really good ideas/strategies that tend to escape my scope lol

Yeah, I'd go with Miller. He's a low ceiling but low risk guy. Let's take it a week at a time and go from there. And keep and eye out for the moves your other league mates make. If someone drops a good TE during a bye week then you can grab that guy.

Go another one for you, I got DeAndre Hopkins and was wondering if I should go with J. Jones or J. Cotchery instead? My other WRs are D. Thomas, D. Bryant, J. Edelman, and R. Cooper.

    James Jones or Julio Jones?

    Sorry about that, James.

Any safer options? I'm not really expecting Wright to manifest in to anything spectacular...and in terms of Kelce, I'd rather have him as a luxury who may blow up, rather than rely on him to back up a very injury prone player....

^ I like Heath a whole lot more than any of the other options. With Gronk, you want to have a safer backup. Remember last year when everyone thought, right around this time, that Zach Sudfield would be the next big thing. He ended up scoring like 1 fantasy point all season
    Martin EZ (413 Reputation Points)
Well Heath Miller and Fleener are still out there...as well as other rookies

I completely forgot about that guy...thanks man this is why I had to get some feedback

Dont waste a spot on a backup TE spot, especially ones of that low caliber

So you're saying to stick with Wright?
