Post-Draft Check for 12 Team PPR
My leagues are drafting pretty late in the game, but I feel decent about this team...could someone offer a second opinion and point out weaknesses I'm not seeing? Full PPR and a few minor big game bonuses.

QB: Jay Cutler
RB: DeMarco Murray, Montee Ball, Andre Ellington, Pierre Thomas, Danny Woodhead
WR: Vincent Jackson, Torrey Smith, Kendall Wright, Greg Jennings, Dexter McCluster
TE: Charles Clay
D/ST: Steelers
K: Matt Bryant

It's only a 14 slot roster and there were solid runs on D and Kickers way early that I ignored with the full intention of streaming.

Thanks for the thoughts and advice.

very good, I would have targeted Gio somehow, and try to flip some of your RB depth for a more studly WR1

It was Ball or Gio, and I've been looking to get Ball in the 2nd all the way up through the draft. Any thoughts on who might be reasonable to target for a trade?

The easiest way would be to either flip Murray or Ball straight up for a Thomas or Bryant

Hmmm...both are on teams that could use some RB help, Dez in particular is starting alongside Vereen and T Rich with very weak backups. Though they also have Antonio Brown, who I was hoping might fall further than he did and Numberfire seems to like him a lot.

I agree with Brandon.. You can probably package Woodhead and Kendall for a better WR... IMO, if you keep Woodhead, you're gonna have a good problem in trying to choose the Flex between him and anyone else on that roster..

and if I had to guess you picked 10 or 11?

    9th pick.

Yeah, there could be a bit more oomph to my WR...any suggestions on how high to aim in trying to grab a sexier WR?

well VJax and Torrey aren't slackers, but in a PPR Smith is not my fave there.. He may have an easier time this year with Stevie Smith than last because he didn't have a counterpart to draw coverage. But if you can grab Edelman or Allen for Woodhead and Kendall why not?

Or, you could package Torrey and Woodhead for Andre or Alshon?

I am torn because both Wright and Smith are unsexy guys who produce relatively steady points (assuming Smith isn't kept out of the end zone constantly again)...I'm leaning toward risking it for week to let the new systems shake out a little. I also went pretty hard on RBs that catch out of the backfield and now have to convince myself to part with them.

i had TSmith last year and I hated life. Couldn't just drop him and no one wanted to trade, so I held on waiting for those TDs they said he'd get.. never came.. could change this year though.. doesn't look like the run game is going to be great LOL, so who knows?? but I will say that I like your RBs. Maybe let them gain a few weeks of value to see who shines and make a more qualified offer for maybe even a bigger WR. Maybe someone's RB gets hurt, then you have value.

Brandon cut to the heart of the matter higher up by suggesting I flip Murray or Ball for a high end receiver...another team has Dez and Antonio Brown and is in dire RB straits. I really like Brown in PPR and am just not a huge fan of Murray or Dez (no particular logic, just a gut level dislike)...Murray for Brown seem too much of a stretch on either end?

If you can get brown for Murray then by all means...I have Brown and wouldn't take that trade straight up but that's me.
