Questions
MJD or Ingram ?
I feel like Ingram has edge in ceiling over MJD but you never know. MJD could easily outscore Ingram.

They are really hyping Mark about his preseason perfromances and I want to strike early on a deal but am a lil worrisome.

The Saints are a pass-first offense and have rotated three RBs for as long as Sean Payton has been their coach. Pierre Thomas expects to be more heavily involved in the passing game thanks to the departure of Darren Sproles to Philly, and Khiry Robinson is now a viable 3rd tier NFL RB. I don't see how any of this equals Ingram having a higher 'ceiling' or being a 'solid' option on his own, let alone when compared to a back who's gotten 20-30 touches a game for his entire NFL career. Mark Ingram is still Mark Ingram. Please forget that Ingram is even in the NFL until he shows you otherwise, against a first-team defense for more than a handful of carries. To summarize, don't pay more attention to Mark Ingram's preseason highlights than his career usage, and don't even attempt to compare Ingrams preseason highlights to MJD's career usage, as there is honestly no comparison whatsoever.

RB's are a very fickle position though. MJD already showed signs of aging last year including a couple injuries. I know preseason is pretty much a joke, but you can't ignore how high people are on him. Notable scouts like gill brandt and chris weesling are saying he was best looking runner they saw so far. He also averageed 6 YPC in last two games last year so he has done SOMETHING in preseason. I also am high on goal-line backs this year due to the fact there is going to be so many defensive holding/pass interefence calls in the end zone leading to 1st and goals from the 1.

I think it depends on the makeup of your team. At this point in his career I don't see MJD having 1500+ all purpose yards so like you said Ingram has the higher ceiling but MJD's floor is higher. IMO i would go MJD if I need a solid 4-6 points a week and Ingram if I need someone that may go off.

I have SJaxand freeman wgo can provide a nice floor (jackson) and ceiling (freeman) so I think I should maybe roll the dice with Ingram...

MJD is dealing with a timeshare that he'll actually win. McFadden can't stay healthy, so he'll get touches. Ingram just won't run the ball much in NO

NO has to run the ball a lil though. And Mark has been beasting in preseason... Plus, with all these defensive holinf /pass interference penalties there will be more first and goals. More goaline back, more ingram
