Panic Meter on Bengals news about backfield being a timeshare...?
I guess this is why you always draft the last week of August!

Of course some Bengals beat reporter published an article today about how Jeremy Hill has been SO impressive this year, that the Bengals will be splitting their carries at around 200 each.

What's everyone's take on this? Tough to really gauge the situation, I guess? I mean obviously Giovani Bernard was still a pretty decent RB getting only 220 total touches last year (I think #16 at RB position in standard scoring?)...but it's not like he's blown us out of the water in the preseason, and if that's really going to be his workload, I waaaay overpaid for him...

bernards never going to be a workhouse based on what he does and his size....i think he is a guy that you gamble on with the mindset of he is going to make the most of his touches....lets face it, he can take it to the house at any time. Honestly, it is probably good for fantasy owners that he has another guy that cinci can rely on to keep him healthy. He is like reggie bush to me, i feel like ppl take him a little earlier than what he is going to give you in standard leagues. Dont know how much help ive been but thats my take on gio.

It's certainly not an insight I'd considered this offseason. Pprett

totally agree...bjge stole carries from him last year though, so ppl that owned him probably know the feeling

Pretty uch from the draft on, I'd been drinking the Kool Aid that he'd turn into a feature back. His coaches said, experts said it, rankings ranked him that way. Don't get me wrong, your appropriation of his role could very well pan out... I guess I just pushed all in on him touching the ball 300 times this year. Oh well haha

^also very similar to Andre Ellington. Guys you can't lean on as #1 RBs because of size but hope for standout #s in RB2 or flex spots

Gio as a Flex? Are you crazy, I don't care about his size, he's a great runner, explosive, and catches a ton of passes. I would draft him as a RB 1.

I disagree. I have Gio in my top 10, in a Hue Jackson offense he will see 200 carries and at least 50 catches, this does not concern me at all just if you draft him I would take Hill later just in case. 16th at the RB position seems crazy to me , who do you have in front of him? CJ Spiller, Reggie Bush, that's absolutely crazy. I would draft Gio in the first round of any type of draft and would feel great about it, this " oh I'm scared to draft Gio is complete nonsense.
