Has anyone ever payed in a league where they limited the number of transactions?
I'm in a league with guys who are very old-school and stubborn about how fantasy football should be played. They don't like waiver wire pickups or even trades. They draft backup QBs TEs and Defenses, which is good news for me. But, they're going to limit the transactions to 15 for the entire season!! Wtf?!!? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to play in a league like this? I guess I could just draft a middling defense with an easy schedule (Indianapolis) and ride them the whole year. I plan on drafting a stud TE as well (Gronk, Cameron). Any tips or advice would be helpful.

A few tips for leagues like this: 1. Make sure to draft handcuffs. This should limit the number of necessary transactions in case of injury. 2. Draft safer guys, stay away from injury risks. I LOVE Gronk this year but in this type of league I might not take him. 3. I might even draft 2 later round TEs (Ertz, Bennett, Clay, Kelce, etc) and later round QBs (cutler, Wilson, Rivers, Alex Smith, Carson Palmer, etc) and stream at those positions. Load up on value at WR/RB and have 2 options to play on a weekly basis at the less important positions. 3. Defense and Kicker still don't matter. I like your idea about the Colts and their soft schedule. Still wait til your last 2 rounds to grab these positions. Look on the waiver wire for underrated defenses that hit hard early in the season like the Chiefs and Panthers from last year. Jags could be a team like that. Kicker will be hit/miss week to week no matter what so who cares.

Great, thanks. I've thought about streaming tight ends and have Clay/Walker in one league because Gronk and Cameron went off the board early. I hate drafting handcuffs though. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet on one or two of them.

Some people like handcuffs and others don't. In a league like this where you won't be able to hit the waiver wire as hard they are much more important than others...Clay/Walker are both good guys to target if you are waiting at TE. Lot of value late in drafts there
