Gio, VJax & Hyde for Ellington, Antonio Brown & Evans

VJax, DJax, Torrey, Maclin, Hopkins, Cooks

No D/ST yet

Should I make this trade? Or should I counter with Buccs D/ST (his backup) instead of Evans?

I think it is a pretty good trade, leaning towards taking it, but thought it was worth getting a quick second opinion.

Gio and Ellington are pretty close in rank, not much changes there. You are getting a major upgrade on you WR, being that Brown is definitely better than VJax. Evans is a good player to have on the bench if VJax goes down, but definitely not a starter. I would take that trade. But try for Tampas D instead of Evans.

I like this trade simply because I think Bernard and Ellington hold much of the same type of upside, but you get a clear upgrade at WR getting Brown over VJax. I don't know if I'd want to give up Hyde for Evans, but you're so deep at RB anyways, I'm not sure it matters. I say go for it if you like it.

And in terms of the Defense thing, I don't see the point. Grab someone off Waivers. Might as well stash Evans in case he breaks the mold of traditional rookie WRs on bad teams struggling

Personally, I am against trading Defenses. I would rather play the matchup game.

I REALLY like how you have stacked on on backup RBs. Pierce, Hyde & Freeman could really take off this year. I am hesitant about advising a trading away a potential hammer in Carlos Hyde. Considering that Frank Gore could get hurt and Hyde's value dramatically increases. You would be trading him away for a 1st year wide out in a Run Heavy offense. And Evans at this point would still be a bench player for you. Bottom line, I am against the trade. Even if it included a D/ST.

Yeah same, the reason to trade for the defense was more that I don't have one yet so will need to drop someone eventually (looking at Jonathan Stewart right now) and there is no one on the wire as good as Tampa (seriously everyone drafted two - hence me not drafting one). If I took Hyde out of the trade (so VJax + gio for Ellington + brown) how would you feel about it?

I like Brown more then VJax, so that's a plus. But I have heard many people have concerns about Ellington. Not his ability but his ability to stay healthy. Apparently, he has an injury history in college. But if it gets you the Tampa D that you want, it's probably worth it.
