Questions
Which 49er to keep?
Auction, 12 team standard. $300 budget.

Crabtree $1
Kaepernick $1

Other keeper is Lacy at $80 (cheap for an RB1 in that league)

Would absolutely, 110% keep Crabtree. What a freakin steal for only a buck.

The Lacy option isn't bad, but I certainly wouldn't consider him "cheap"...80 out of 300 is roughly 25% of your budget (which is a totally acceptable percentage of your budget for a stud RB1), so that'd come out to costing $25 in a $100 cap league, or $50 in a $200 cap league...which is about where he's being valued by most outfits anyways...so unless you're very unsure of your likelihood to be able to get him via the actual auction, I'd pass on going that route. Crabtree for a buck all the way.

This would become an entirely different answer if you were to tell me that Lacy is the only RB out of the Top 10 or 15 that you will be able to actually bid on...but I think if there are at least 5 or 6 of those top guys available to bid on, it's Crabtree for me.

If I didn't keep Lacy, he'd go for 115 - 140, easy. Some RBs are kept, and these dudes are crazy about securing a solid one.

Yuck...if you are absolutely, 100% sure of that much inflation happening on his price...then I guess you need to keep Lacy. I do not agree with ever spending anywhere near 50% (or even 40%, if it were $115) of your budget on just one player, and I don't think there are many guys that are more worthwhile to lock up at 25% of your budget than Lacy. Sucks to have to pass on Crabtree at that value, but I definitely support going with Lacy instead, now knowing that about RB valuation in your league.

crabtree...if all the focus is on rbs in that league, then you could spend some decent money on 2 other wrs and have plenty left over for a middle tier qb

That's a tough one- I would go with Kaep, specially in a standard league- Obviously it would be a lil different in a PPR... QB's are gonna make a ton of points this year- Kaep is predicted to have pts in the 300's Crabtree 120- Standard League

I would probably keep crabtree, there is no reason to keep a qb because the position is so deep where as if Crabtree foes off this year he could finish in the top 10

That was my initial instinct too, but then thought I could keep Kaep, get another mid level QB on the cheap and target Calvin + AJ for 80-120 total leaving me with 100 to spend on RB2, TE, Flex. Hmmmmmm.
