Worth it to trade for J Gordon?
(PPR league) I'm considering offering Eric Decker and Rueben Randle for Torrey Smith and Josh Gordon. Yay or nay?

    Id do it for sure. I dont trust the Giants offense one bit and Torrey should be in the top 15 for sure. Josh Gordon suspension is an all or nothin suspension for those who follow. Heck he can even fight the suspension and not miss a single game. Decker scares me on the jets.

    We don't have any other information about your roster, so I'll prompt you to look at it this way: how many weeks of this season do you fully expect to not start Decker and Randle? If the answer is 8, then make the trade.

    I think what we can reasonably expect from Gordon, if he plays at all, is an 8-game suspension. This ruling/appeals process going the way it has is unprecedented in the NFL, and ultimately I don't think anyone knows what it means. But I think it's a safe bet that IF his suspension is reduced from a full-season, the number will be 8.

    So that makes things easy. If you were planning to more than likely sit those guys for 8 weeks anyways, then what are you really losing? I think Torrey Smith is a better WR than both of them, so in at least one regard, you are technically upgrading...and frankly, I don't think it's too bold to say that getting Smith by himself (if Gordon's full-season suspension is upheld) for Decker and Randle is not necessarily an awful trade. I am pretty down on Decker this year, and I don't know how great I feel about relying on the WR2 of the Giants...so again, for the potential to have Josh Gordon down the home stretch and in to the fantasy playoffs...what do you have to lose? I'm a gambling man myself, and would more than likely make this trade if I didn't need to rely on at least Decker as a starter.

    Right now my WRs are Calvin, M. Floyd, and Decker. Randle is in my flex but Sankey is on my bench who could take that spot. Also Marqise Lee is there if necessary.

    I'm ok with Sankey as a flex, but if your next man up is a rookie WR on the Jags, I think I'm leaning away from taking that gamble, unless there are some hidden gem WRs on the waiver wire

    No you do not want Josh Gordan. We have to assume he won't play at least half the season... Unless you know something we don't about his suspension (all 16 or bust?)
