Questions
Would you make any of these trades?
For a standard scoring keeper league. Can only keep 1 player per position, with a maximum of 3 total players kept. I have a difficult decision at RB (Ball or Bernard), and I have no real solid WR keeper candidate thanks to Josh Gordon's propensity to be a complete idiot. So I'm thinking, I hedge one of the RBs I have to throw back in to the pool anyways (leaning towards Ball) in to a trade for a good WR keeper. Each team only has a handful of options, and it's sketchy at best because most teams already have an obvious keeper choice at RB...but let's see what you guys think

Would you trade Montee Ball in the 9th round for....

Dez Bryant in the 2nd, Randall Cobb in the 3rd, or Percy Harvin in the last round?

Good guidance above but I would actually go a different route. I love Gio just as much as the next, but I think his value decreases slightly in a standard league, and I think Ball's value increases. We saw what Manning did to Moreno last year and with another year of improved pass protection Ball should get the bulk of playing time in the Denver backfield. I keep Ball. I also don't mind getting Dez as a second round pick. What more are you going to get in the second round? He's very fair value at that price. My biggest concern is giving up Ball or Bernard to a fellow opponent for literally nothing. Does the opponent only lose a 9th round pick? Because that's huge value you would be giving to one of your opponents. I am not sure what round Bernard counts as in your league but my guess is at least 5th or higher and again is huge value for your opponent. If what I said is true, I most definitely drop one of the two RB's back into the pool and force your opponents to waste an early pick on them.

Hmmm....I suppose I hadn't thought about the fact that I'd be gift-wrapping a very good keeper to a future opponent...it's something to consider I suppose. Bernard actually has a higher keeper value than Ball. Bernard would be kept in the 6th, while Ball would be kept in the 9th, and a players keeper value stays the same if they are traded.

Do the picks move up a round every year? I would have to say no because you can get Dez and Cobb in the 2nd and 3rd rounds without having to keep them. What about holding onto Gordon for the year after this? What round did you draft him in? Like 9? If you keep him, after he sits out (or maybe doesn't) this year, you've got a top-5 WR going forward with a mid to late round pick. If not, then I'd keep Bernard and just take the extra draft pick to pick the best RB/WR available. It's like getting an extra first round pick.

    And Harvin's too old/injury prone...

Yes, the picks move up a round every year. And you can't keep someone once they become a 1st rounder. I suppose I could hold on to Gordon, who is a second to last round pick (it sucks, because even if he beats the weed appeal, hes still got the OVI hearing, which is the day after our draft...) but I just dont like having dead weight on my roster that long. I suppose I should mention i could also keep Crabtree in the last round, but at that point (not in love with crabtree), I would rather just keep a QB....I have Luck in the 11th.

I would try to dump gio instead and you might even get more value from him...dump gio and try to get dez or cobb
