Do You agree
I did a mock draft, from the 5th position and the draft recap told me that my team was to brutal, no depth and to much risk do you agree, I don't really care because this was just a mock but after I drafted I thought I had done a great job. QB: Tony Romo, Phillip Rivers
RB: Demarco Murray, Alfred Morris, Joiuque Bell, Christine Michael, Terrance West and David Wilson.
WR: Julio Jones, Desean Jackson, Terrance Williams and Odell Beckham
TE: Eric Ebron and Charles Clay
D/ST: Rams
K: Dan Bailey
So... is it really that bad?
Romo and Rivers together should a consistent 20+ point scorer every week, if you can pick the match-ups correctly. Although I would expect a little regression from Rivers, and I don't see how Romo's fantasy ceiling can go much higher, regardless of Scott Linehan.
I love DeMarco Murray...but simple math says to pick him at 5, you had to have left Forte or Lacy on the board. I don't love that. I'm staying away from Alf this year. I think his upside is limited with the arrival of Gruden. We all saw in the Pro Bowl...dude can certainly catch passes, but who knows how much he'll be called upon to do so? Without that aspect to his game, I just don't like him as much as some others. Of your final 4 RBs...I actually like all of them, but it's the simple fact that you're relying on more than one of them to develop in to a reliable low end RB2/Flex RB...not enough trust in any of those guys to put myself in that situation, I'd rather have them as luxuries.
I don't understand...was it Julio or Alf that was your 3rd round pick? If it was Julio (my guess), you got lucky getting him that late. Wouldn't count on it in the future, probably more of an outlier. I love DeSean this year...even if he isn't even the 2nd most targeting pass-catcher on that team, THIS is the one aspect of the Redskins I think Gruden impacts the most...vertical passing. Andy friggin Dalton, of all people, was 2nd in vertical pass attempts last year. With RGIII's arm, I think they air it out A LOT, and I think DJax is the primary beneficiary. He may not be a stud start every week...but for where he's going in most mock's I'm in (7th-ish round), he'll be great value. I'm not counting on Odell Beckham for much...not even as a late round flier (would rather go after Randle for that, if I'm looking at Giants).
Don't bother with Rookie TEs. They rarely amount to much (look at even Graham and Gronk's rookie campaign). Clay is just meh. If you're gonna wait on good TE value, make sure to jump on it before guys like Ertz and Delanie Walker disappear.
Not like D/ST is much of a position to target early...but if you're in a position to get the Rams D/ST when the time is appropriate...keep picking them. They are my D of choice this season. Picking a D isn't as tough as ppl make it out to be. It all comes down to sacks. That is the most consistently predictable defensive stat...not TDs, not INTs, not fumbles...so even though they don't produce the most amount of points, it all just kinds of snowballs. Any D that is pressuring the QB is going to force more INTs and fumbles, which are going to lead to more potential TDs. I'm not saying the Rams are the best pass-rushing team in the NFL, and they play in a brutal division...but they're damn close, and they only got better in the trenches this off-season. Love em.
I have Julio as the 6th best receiver, but overall I would have him behind those RBs (aside from maybe Ball) and Graham (and would expect someone else to take Peyton in there as well), so I think there would have been better options available.
Morris in the third is a solid pick, but beyond there I think you are reaching for everyone - I am guessing DJax is your next pick, but I dont think he is worth a fourth rounder and from there I can't tell who you picked in which round. I think you probably could have shifted everyone back a round, maybe taking another RB in the 4th, and this would look better.
BTW when did you pull the trigger on Rams Def ?
