Drafting in a 12-team keeper league, beginning in second round.
I'm in a standard 12 team keeper league (non PPR) starting 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 R/W/T, 1 K and 1 D. My three keepers are LeSean McCoy (cost me 1st round pick)
Le'Veon Bell (cost me 8th round pick), and
Randall Cobb (cost me 10th round pick)
I get the 5th pick this year, but my first keeper will cost me the first round pick. What position should I target in the second round? Calvin Johnson and Jimmy Graham are already on other teams as keepers. Should I try to go for an RB2 first to plug in flex or should I try to get a top WR? How quickly should I try to scoop up 3 WRs compared to 3 RBs (assuming I should use RB instead of WR in flex). Thanks for the help!

0Azad Armani (500 Reputation Points)I think RB's will be at a premium this year, so I would lean towards a RB but like the other's said, just really try to rely on best available.

0Beau Ryan (500 Reputation Points)Def take the best WR/RB available at that point. The top 3 QBs will be off the board or kept for sure at that point. I would lean toward RB if there is a RB1 available, its not ppr and there are just so few of them.1 Comment↳Samir Ahmad (331 Reputation Points)Thanks!

0Kacee Giger (624 Reputation Points)It's not a very exciting answer, but I'd take the best RB\WR available. You already have two very solid RB's so if you have a RB and WR ranked very close I might lean WR, but don't let a good RB get by you just because you need WR's.2 Comments↳Samir Ahmad (331 Reputation Points)Thanks, I agree. Odds are though that most stud RUB's will be kept/picked by the time my turn comes in second round. What about picking Brees or Rodgers at QB in second?↳Kacee Giger (624 Reputation Points)I almost always pick a QB late, but if one of Peyton\Brees\Rodgers was available at pick #20, it would be tough to pass up.
