FireFactor Vs. Fantasy Points
So I plugged in my leagues custom scoring and for instance it would for instance have Calvin Johnson with a higher amount of fantasy projected points but a lower FireFactor than Eddie Lacy.

Can someone help me understand this?
Why would Lacy be ranked higher if he's getting less fantasy points than Megatron?

Because FireFactor measures the value of the player, which changes depending not only on the fantasy points projected, but also the position of the player. For example, since the group of running backs drafted isn't nearly as deep as the group of wide receivers drafted, theres going to be several running backs that won't score more fantasy points than wide receivers, but have higher value in the draft because its harder to get a quality running back later than a quality wide receiver. Thats why you should take Eddie Lacy over Calvin even though Calvin will score more.

You need to read JJ's articles on running backs. Most fantasy guru's will tell you that running backs are more important especially early in the draft, but JJ shows you the numbers and the math behind it. If you just want the short version, it is easier to replace Megatron with another solid WR than it is to replace Eddie Lacy. Elite running backs are the toughest commodity to get and also the most valuable. https://www.numberfire.com/nfl/news/1637/fantasy-running-back-value-part-three-replaceability
