drafting at the end of a 10 team league NONPPR
in a standard 10 team league NONPPR starting QB RB RB WR WR TE R/W/T K D let's say I have the 10th pick and Mega and Graham are there do I draft them back to back and skip RB until round 3, or take one of them than take a RB round 2? I pick in the first 5 picks I know I am for sure going RB, and I do really Like Bell(homer pick) and Ball(huge Wisconsin Badger fan) but I feel if both Mega and Graham are there I don't think I can pass them up..

Also, in a NONPPR league should I use a RB or WR at flex? Thanks for the help!

I would take RB's the first 2 rounds regardless. They're at a premium this year. Calvin Johnson and Jimmy Graham will be top 3 at their position sure and DeMarco Murray, Marshawn Lynch, and guys like Giovanni Bernard will probably not finish in the top 5 in their position, but RB's don't have a major dropoff like WR's and TE's do.

Ball and Bell would be a solid foundation for you to build your team around, and Shane is exactly right about the drop-off.

I don't think either of those guys will be there but if one or both are I would grab one of them and then get a RB. For Flex in a NONPPR I take the best player available.

If Calvin is there then you should probably get him, but you definitely should come out with at least 1 RB out of those first two picks. If Calvin isn't there, take the two best backs off the board. You don't want to wait till the end of the third round to get a running back, so getting Calvin and Graham with the first two picks is not a smart idea. And for the flex, just play whoever you think will get more points that week. WR or RB doesnt matter there, thats why its a flex

For me, it comes down to whether you're comfortable with your RB1 being someone like Reggie Bush or Frank Gore, or maybe even Rashad Jennings. I'm not, so I know I'm not leaving the first two rounds without at least one RB. For Non-PPR I usually use a RB at Flex, but I don't think this is something you should be set on.

I take Calvin and best RB. I never go into a draft thinking I have to go RB-RB. If that's how it falls, fine. But you take what the draft gives you. Same with flex - I usually go RB, but if a good WR falls, I'll take him.
