Questions
where to draft TE and defenses?
of course after graham and gronk there are MANY to choose from most not being a WHOLE lot better then the rest. in my mock drafts i was picking TE in rounds 8 normally. (getting Reed, cameron, olsen in them)

would it be better to wait til say 12th-14th to get a ertz, bennette or clay?

and most times i was taking defenses in round 7 (getting Seattle, Carolina & SF)

is that where you would draft a d?

If you don't get a strong TE option, wait on them till the closing rounds where you can still get a guy like Martellus Bennett. And I wouldn't touch a defense until the second to last round.

Don't draft a defense until the second to last round. Draft a defense that has the best week 1 match up and stream from there. You give up too much drafting a defense in the 7th or 8th round.

There's no value in drafting a Def/ST in the 7th round. Miss out on good mid round RB/ WR's or QB. Rather stream a Def/ST and hit on a top 5 one (happens every year). TE pick em one round earlier than ADP.

I would take Graham in the 2nd, Gronk / Julius in the 4th, Cameron / Reed in the 7th / 8th, and otherwise just wait. Vernon probably deserves to be in there with Cameron and Reed, but I am not a fan. But yeah beyond those 5, there is very little difference between the rest so I would just wait and use your last available pick - there will likely still be a servicable TE that doesnt get drafted at all (Heath Miller, Delanie Walker, Timothy Wright, Dwayne Allen, Tyler Eifert).

I wouldn't draft a D that early - I am very much a subscriber to grabbing a D/ST in the second last round and a K in the last. Actually in my draft this year people grabbed Ds and Ks earlier, so I just didnt bother and will grab something of the waivers. IMO the difference between everyone but Seattle is not worth such an early pick, and there is always a D that surprises (maybe my league wasn't paying enough attention in the preseason, but KC and the Panthers both came of the wire).
