Too early to panic? (aka Starks vs Royal on waivers)
So, I'm 0-2 so far. First week was extremely close, with my opponent clearly getting lucky (a few marginal players went way over their head, and my superstar Roddy White turned out to be more hurt than we all thought).Week 2 I got trounced because nobody showed up for my team. So, I've got the following players (16 teams, 8 starters, 4 bench): I have to start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, D, K
QBs - Romo
RBs - Ryan Mathews, MJD, Chris Ivory
WRs - Roddy White, AJ Green, Brian Hartline, Robert Woods, Malcom Floyd
TE - Witten, D - Arizona, K - Josh Brown (Giants)
I'm first on the waiver list, and with lots of injuries, I'll have to pick carefully. With Roddy White borderline, and Malcom Floyd questionable, I'm thinking of grabbing Eddie Royal. However, MJD is hurt, Ivory is garbage, and Mathews is an inconsistent piece of junk, so even though Starks is just a 1-week player, I'm considering picking him up instead in hopes of picking up my first win this week.

1Sahib Bennett (320 Reputation Points)Don't do the short term fix. Grab Royal. He can plug the hole at WR. Since you start 1 RB, stick with Mathews until MJD gets going.1 Comment↳Matthew Smith (475 Reputation Points)Thanks for the great tips, everybody. I was kicking myself not picking him up last week, but I didn't want to be tricked by a one-week wonder. However, I agree with all of you that he is good, and looks to be Rivers' favorite Red Zone target.
