Need help with FBA Roto-Style Scoring
I'll try and keep this short and sweet...

A group of my co-workers and I all got pretty swept up in our office Fantasy Football league this year...pining at the thought of not having something to compete over once FFL ended, we decided to start a 5-man (Couldn't garner interest from any others) Roto-Style Scoring FBA league. We use ESPN standard scoring, with a 5-man lineup (PG, SG, SF, PF, C).

We started a couple weeks into the season, and for some reason when we drafted, ESPN retro-actively applied all the stats of the players we drafted in to our starting lineup. This left some people at a massive disadvantage, and things have yet to really balance out stat-wise.

Anyways, I'm really looking for some guidance on how best to proceed with my team. Obviously in a 5-man league, everyone is pretty stacked...but what I'm wondering is, is it a good strategy to be constantly adding/dropping players to have a full 5-man roster each night, or is it better to just keep who I have and depend on them when they play? I do my best to try and keep a full 5-man roster every night, but on sparse schedule days, I find myself dropping certain players I really like just to fill spots and not have empty stat categories for positions. I don't necessarily lose those players, as no one else is highly active on the waiver wire, but it's not seeming to get me any further ahead in the standings.

Any help would be appreciated...I'm a FBA rookie, and would like to have a successful first season!

I thought you said it was going to be short! :)

Do you have position limits? If not, I'd be constantly dropping and adding if it's only a five-man league. You'll have a pretty sick team every night.

Sorry, when I start writing sometimes I can't stop haha...There's no position or acquisition (I think what you mean to say?) limits. I guess I'm just worried that it's been about a month since we've drafted, and even employing this strategy every night, I'm not coming anywhere close to catching up to the league leaders in certain categories. In some cases I'm even losing ground!
