No. Fitzpatrick is a decent player and certainly is underrated, but Eli's on a better team with better receivers in a better situation. He's proven to be consistent.
I think Eli's the better player but I would probably do that trade. If you can upgrade to Andre Johnson from Mike Wallace and a marginal cost, it looks solid.
Eli is not a better Fantasy QB than Fitz. Dude has thrown for 4 td's almost more than any other QB in the league in the past 16 games. Definitely do the trade. Eli has more talent, but is also a huge pussy.
In the real world, probably not right now. Fitzpatrick's had one good season (14 games last year plus 2 this year.) Eli's won a Super Bowl and hit 4,000 yards more than once. BUT - for fantasy football right now, I'd much rather have Fitzpatrick. Eli's just not putting up starting fantasy QB numbers. I have Eli as the 2nd QB in a 2 QB league, and last week I benched him for Rex Grossman - and I'm very glad I did.
If you look at this years numbers you go with Fitzpatrick but when you see history you go with Eli. Eli is the accomplished QB with a track record. Granted he does throw a lot of picks but he's reliable, you don't know what your gonna get with Fitzpatrick later in the season.
