Who is a more exciting player: Danny Woodhead or Ryan Mathews?
Asked in: Danny Woodhead, Ryan Mathews, Running Backs, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers

0Tom Becker
Mathews if he gets the chance to play. I think Tolbert will be getting the bulk of the carries in San Diego.

Who is a more exciting player: Michael Bush or Ryan Mathews?
Asked in: Michael Bush, Ryan Mathews, Running Backs, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers

0Jim R
Michael Bush is definitely way more exciting than Ryan Mathews when he gets to start in place of an injured Darren McFadden, but I feel like Mathews is going to have a really big year on the ground.

Who is a more exciting player: Ryan Mathews or Ryan Torain?
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Ryan Torain, Running Backs, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins

0Nate Tharp
Torain is the more exciting Ryan. More likely to break off big runs and a better pass-catcher. Matthews has never rushed for 120 yards in the 1st quarter of a game.

Who is a more exciting player: Ryan Mathews or Tim Hightower?
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Tim Hightower, Running Backs, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals

0Ashley Sanders
I wouldn't label either as being particularly exciting, but I think you gotta go with Mathews.

better flex option: R Mathews or B Lloyd?
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Brandon Lloyd

3scott turecek
Mathews. They drafted him to take over for LDT (don't say LT there was already one and he was way better then LDT) and they are gonna use him and use him a lot. A rash of injuries and a suprisingly productive Tolbert derailed his rookie year but he is ready to make a difference in a VERY high powered offense. New offense in Denver so who knows what kind of focus Lloyd gets. Don't forget Broncos spent a top pick on Thomas recently i'm sure they are looking to get him the pigskin.

PPR league, who should I start at flex position? S.Homes, R.Mathews or C.Williams?
Asked in: Santonio Holmes, Ryan Mathews, Cadillac Williams

0Keith Goldner
I'd take Cadillac this week, he should get a solid number of receptions out of the back field.

One last flex spot left for P. Harvin, R. Mathews, D. Branch, P. Thomas, C. Williams or N. Burleson. PPR League. Who should get the start?
Asked in: Percy Harvin, Ryan Mathews, Deion Branch, Pierre Thomas, Nate Burleson, Cadillac Williams

0Keith Goldner
Depends how risky the rest of your starters are. If you can make a risk play, I would go with Caddy - he had a huge week last week, and McDaniels loves throwing to his RBs. If you need to be sure of the points, I'd probably go Harvin or Mathews.

Should I trade Brandon Jacobs for Ryan Mathews?
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Brandon Jacobs, San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, Running Backs

1Frank Lenz
Yeah, I'd rather have Mathews. He gets way more touches (both carries and receptions). With Jacobs you are praying for a TD every week.

Beanie Wells or Ryan Matthews?
Asked in: Beanie Wells, Arizona Cardinals, Ryan Mathews, San Diego Chargers

0Michael Rippe
Forget projections. Look at the matchup for San Diego this week. Home to a KC team that's season is in serious disarray. I like Mathews coming off a strong performance vs NE to continue his nice 2011 campaign. I still like Tolbert and not sure I trust Beanie with a sore hamstring. Take your guaranteed points from Mathews this week.

Beanie Wells or Ryan Matthews?
Asked in: Beanie Wells, Arizona Cardinals, San Diego Chargers, Ryan Mathews, Mike Tolbert

0David J
Ryan Mathhews/Tolbert over Beanie this week. The only good thing about the Seahawks is that they have a good run defense especially near the goal line. San Diego will come out throwing the ball all over the place this week against a laughable KC defense, then in the second half it will be the Ryan Matthews/Mike Tolbert show as they try to run down the clock.

Not sure how to proceed, but...
Asked in: Philip Rivers, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Adrian Peterson, Peyton Hillis, Ryan Mathews, Steve Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Nate Washington, Deion Branch, Percy Harvin, Dallas Clark, Brandon Pettigrew

2Keith Goldner
Your team is pretty stacked. You could use a little help at WR since it is PPR (and your backs aren't great for PPR) but other than that, you definitely have a good team. Just sounds like you've run into some bad luck

What is Fred Jackson's trade value?
Asked in: Mike Wallace, Fred Jackson, Jason Witten, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Chris Johnson, Arian Foster, Steven Jackson, Greg Jennings, Ryan Mathews, Dwayne Bowe

1Keith Goldner
He's got a lot of value right now. If you're trading for him you probably have to give up a good amount. Out of the listed guys I would say comparables are: Wallace, Jennings, Mathews. Foster and Steven Jackson are tough because of the injuries.

Who would make out in this trade?
Asked in: Nate Washington, Aaron Hernandez, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Jamaal Charles, Ryan Mathews, Donald Driver, Jermichael Finley

1R J
Is it round loss for keepers or just keep 2, ie drafted Ryan Mathews in the 8th so I lose an 8th round pick or is it just lose a round? If you just lose a round, I wouldn't trade away Charles. I think you're selling high on Hernandez and potentially Nate Washington. Driver is nothing and Mathews is probably going to help you in the short term. Probably for this season Finley and Hernandez is a wash. Washington could be a 1,000 yard receiver or he could get blanketed by more talented CBs. Matthews seems to have a grip on the starter job but Tolbert is hanging out waiting for him to fail.

Trade McCoy for Matthews?
Asked in: Lesean McCoy, Ryan Mathews, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford

0Anthony Best
That depends on who is left at QB on the wires for you. Shady is sick so far this year. and as long as Vick struggles Shady will shine! But if there is no on e left at Qb on wire this isn't a bad trade. I like Decker and Mathews. but you should ask for someone else when it comes to Tolbert. You won't need both he and Mathews

RB Help Please..
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Beanie Wells, Isaac Redman, Stevan Ridley, Rashard Mendenhall

3Shannon Jones
I would go Redman they will run him at the goalline you dont know what the PATS will do.

Keeper League..Should I trade Miles Austin, Steve Johnson, and Ryan Mathews for Matt Hasselbeck, Calvin Johnson, and MJD?
Asked in: Miles Austin, Steve Johnson, Ryan Mathews, Calvin Johnson, Tony Romo, Steven Jackson

2Keith Goldner
Depends who else you got on your roster. The main keeper candidates are Mathews and Calvin, I think it's a solid deal for you as long as you have other WR that are able to fill in the second slot

Should I start Tolbert or Ridley!?
Asked in: Mike Tolbert, Stevan Ridley, Ryan Mathews

1Ben Johnston
I don't really like starting either of them, but between the two, I would probably go with Ridley. His best value will likely come later in the season, but Tolbert seems like such a weak play right now that Ridley probably has him beat.

RB Starters Please!! need 3 - nonppr
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Isaac Redman, Jahvid Best, Mike Tolbert, James Starks

1Keith Goldner
I'd probably go with your first three, Mathews, Redman and Best

Is Stevie Johnson and Ryan Matthews for Wes Welker a fair trade?
Asked in: Steve Johnson, Ryan Mathews, Wes Welker, Trading

0Keith Goldner
Depends who you have and whether it is PPR. I think straight up those are both great deals for you, but again, it's situation dependent. Welker is also much more valuable in PPR.

A little trade help needed!
Asked in: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cedric Benson, Ryan Mathews, Jason Campbell

0Anthony Best
I like Fitz but not Benson.. Like Mathews but not Campbell! I think Fitz is the better QB and Mathews is the better RB. Which do you need more in your roster?

I have M. Turner, F. Jackson, P. Hillis and R. Matthews in a non-ppr league and need some help at WR. Who would you use as bait? Turner for maclin, Jackson for Nicks?
Asked in: Michael Turner, Fred Jackson, Peyton Hillis, Ryan Mathews

1Anthony Best
the 2 I would look to trade away are Mathews and Hillis. they have the much harder schedule in 2nd half of season!! and the way they are playing you should be able to get top players in return!!

Bernard scott? could he start over Mendenhall or Ryan Mathews?
Asked in: Bernard Scott, Rashard Mendenhall, Ryan Mathews

0Anthony Best
I don't think so! I actually like Mendy and Mathews match-ups a little better. Scott will only be good for this 1 week anyway right?

Should I attempt this trade?
Asked in: Steve Johnson, Ryan Mathews, Marques Colston, Arian Foster

3Mustafa Ashurex
I would- The Bills offense hasn't been doing a lot through SJ lately and Colston is the one Saints WR I'd play on a regular basis. Arian Foster needs no introduction. I say you do it and don't look back.

Ryan Mathews or Darren Sproles this week?
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Running Backs

0matt tricano
flip the coin - both will have big days - i'm going with Mathews.

Who Should I start?
Asked in: Dwayne Bowe, Ryan Mathews

2Sean Weinstock
I default to the running back, especially when they're killing it as hard as Mathews. He's one of our top VORP rankings guys this year. http://numberFire.com/blog

stevie johnson and ryan mathews for calvin johnson?
Asked in: Steve Johnson, Ryan Mathews, Calvin Johnson

0Keith Goldner
Depends who you got on your roster. If you have the depth, take Megatron.

Rodgers trade
Asked in: Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Mathews, Arian Foster

0Jameson Wooten
I'd have to get quite a bit to trade Rodgers and I honestly don't think that this is a good enough trade.

One more question?
Asked in: Roddy White, Beanie Wells, Ryan Mathews, Steve Johnson

1JJ Gaunt
Go for it! Wells has been very good of late, and Mathews seems to be a bit injury prone. Johnson for White is a complete no brainer

PPR league, need to suit up one more along side Fred Jackson, who to go with? Ogbonnaya, Daniel Thomas or Ryan Mathews
Asked in: Running Backs, Daniel Thomas, Ryan Mathews

1Dave Harris
Matthews is looking like he's gonna sit this week, and D Thomas is a question mark as well. It seems crazy that a guy that was cut from a practice squad a few weeks ago might be the best option, but Ogbonnaya looks like to be the best start of these three this week.

Need One: Michael Bush, Cedric Benson, Ryan Mathews, or Roy Helu
Asked in: Michael Bush, Cedric Benson, Ryan Mathews, Roy Helu

1Anthony Best
I like Bush's chances against Washington this week. Mia has been playing strong and Bush has out produced all his fellow backs! Mathew's is very injury prone and as long as Tolbert is healthy he won't touch the ball in the end-zone! Helu plays musical chairs with his fellow backs and Cinci, who doesn't have a strong running game is facing a tough Pit D.

Start which two: Ryan Mathews, BJGE, Helu
Asked in: Roy Helu, Ryan Mathews, BenJarvus Green-Ellis

0Anthony Best
I think The first 2! Mathews and BJGE!

Need 2 for Week 12: Adrian Peterson, McFadden, Michael Bush, Ben Tate, Kevin Smith, Ryan Mathews
Asked in: Adrian Peterson, Darren McFadden, Michael Bush, Kevin Smith, Ryan Mathews

1Keith Goldner
AP is out. I would start Run DMC if active, if not, then Bush. And in your 2nd spot I would start Mathews.

Matthews or Jacobs
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Brandon Jacobs

1Anthony Best
Both good match-ups, like Jacobs slightly better since he gets red-zone touches.

Week 13: Ryan Mathews or Roy Helu
Asked in: Ryan Mathews, Roy Helu

0Tom Kastorff
Helu is now the feature back, but they are up against Jets this weekend. Mathews is apparently at full strength, and against shitty Jags, so I would pick RM.

Need 2 for Week 13: Roy Helu, Kevin Smith, Michael Bush, Ryan Mathews
Asked in: Roy Helu, Kevin Smith, Michael Bush, Ryan Mathews

0Anthony Best
Tough match-ups for you to I see. out of these I think I would go with Helu and Bush. Don't think Smith is even going to play otherwise I would go with him over Helu, but remember he is injury prone. Mathews is not a viable option since Tolbert takes all red-zone carries.

Not a PPR league and I have to use three - Cedric Benson, Michael Bush, Ryan Mathews or Frank Gore...Help!
Asked in: Cedric Benson, Michael Bush, Ryan Mathews, Frank Gore

0Chris Naugle
Benson, Mathews and Bush. The choice is really between Gore and Bush ... and while I like Gore... Bush has scored a TD is three of last four games.
