Islanders giving Jaroslav Halak his first start in almost three months
New York Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak will make his first NHL start in nearly three months as New York visits the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Halak last started on December 29 after clearing waivers and being sent down to the minors. He appeared in 27 games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, posting a 17-7-3 record with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.
numberFire's models project Halak for 3.3 goals allowed, 28.6 saves and only a 30.0 percent chance of beating the Penguins on Friday night.
