Curtis McElhinney stepping in for Toronto on second night of back-to-back
Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Curtis McElhinney has been named the starter for Thursday's matchup with the New Jersey Devils.
In eight appearances (six starts) for Toronto since being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets, McElhinney has gone 3-4-0 with a .921 save percentage and 2.70 goals-against average. He gets a nice draw tonight against the third-worst offense in the NHL (2.28 goals per game).
Our models project McElhinney to have 25.3 saves, 2.3 goals against and a 68.0 percent chance of recording a victory. He is numberFire's seventh-ranked fantasy option for the heavy 12-game slate.
