Panthers' Daryl Williams (knee) placed on Injured Reserve
Carolina Panthers right tackle Daryl Williams (knee) was placed on the injured reserve on Wednesday.
What It Means:
Williams suffered a torn MCL and dislocated kneecap in preseason but a new injury on his right knee in Week 1 will force him to undergo surgery. Offensive tackle Chris Clark was signed on Wednesday as a possible replacement.
According to numberFire's NFL Team Power Rankings, the Panthers are the 17th ranked offense going into Week 2.
