Panthers' rookie D.J. Moore cited for speeding
Carolina Panthers first-round wide receiver D.J. Moore was cited for driving 113 miles per hour in a Charlotte work zone on August 10.
Moore was stopped at 3 a.m. in an area where the posted speed limit was 65mph. He was cooperative with the police and immediately informed the team of his mistake, in addition to showing remorse, according to Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, who said the 24th overall pick was "chastised" for his actions. Moore will likely compete for targets behind Devin Funchess and Torrey Smith during his rookie season.
numberFire's models currently project Moore to catch 44.0 passes (72.5) targets for 556.8 yards and 3.26 touchdowns during his rookie campaign. He's the WR62 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
