Aaron Donald not expected to attend Rams minicamp

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald isn't expected to attend this week's mandatory minicamp, writes Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

What It Means:

Donald is currently set to make $6.892 in the final year of his rookie deal, so the 3-time All-Pro and reigning Defensive Player of the Year likely wants an extension that would place him among the highest paid players ever at his position. If the two sides are unable to work something out before Week 1, the Rams may decide to use the franchise tag on their star defensive tackle.

Donald racked up 11 sacks and forced 5 fumbles in 14 games during the 2017-18 season.
