Patriots acquire OT Trent Brown from 49ers
The New England Patriots acquired offensive tackle Trent Brown and the 143rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the 95th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Brown played 10 games last season before tearing a labrum in his shoulder and landing on injured reserve in the middle of December. When healthy, the 25-year-old tackle has proven to be a great pass blocker but became expendable when the 49ers selected fellow tackle Mike McGlinchey with the 9th overall pick on Thursday night.
The Patriots finished 13-3 last season and lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
