Damien Williams reportedly joining Chiefs' backfield
The Kansas City Chiefs will sign running back Damien Williams, formerly of the Miami Dolphins, reports Terez Paylor of The Kansas City Star.
Williams split backfield work with Kenyan Drake after the Dolphins traded Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles last season, but he injured his shoulder in Week 12 and was inactive for the rest of the year. After going undrafted out of Oklahoma, Williams was picked up by the Dolphins but hasn't really done anything during his four years in the NFL. He turns 26 at the beginning of April.
Williams averaged 9.4 FanDuel points in Weeks 9-12 and finished the year with 46 carries for 181 scoreless rushing yards and 20 catches (28 targets) for 155 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
