Eric Ebron signs 2-year deal with Colts worth $15 million

The Indianapolis Colts signed tight end Eric Ebron, formerly of the Detroit Lions, to a 2-year contract worth up to $15 million.

What It Means:

The Colts now possess a pair of usable tight ends in Ebron and Jack Doyle. New head coach Frank Reich and offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni are known for using multiple-tight end sets. Despite an underwhelming tenure with the Lions, the 10th overall pick from the 2014 NFL Draft will be just 25 next season and, at 6-foot-4 and 253 pounds, remains one of the more physically gifted players at his position.

Ebron averaged 6.6 FanDuel points per game last season, with 53 catches (86 targets) for 574 yards and 4 touchdowns.
