Seahawks sign tight end Ed Dickson to three-year deal

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent tight end Ed Dickson to a three-year deal.

What It Means:

With Jimmy Graham headed to Green Bay, Dickson will step in as his replacement on the receiving end of Russell Wilson's arm. Anderson reports that Dickson can earn up to $14 million with the first year fully guaranteed. More than anything, he will help in the run game and as a short option in the passing game.

In 16 games (12 starts) with the Panthers, Dickson turned 48 targets into 30 catches, 437 yards and a touchdown this past season.
