Frank Gore, Lions reportedly close to deal
The Detroit Lions and running back Frank Gore, formerly of the Indianapolis Colts, are nearing an agreement, reports Mike Jones of USA Today.
Gore will be 35 by the start of next season and hasn't averaged more than 4.0 yards per carry since 2014 in his final year with the San Francisco 49ers. The Lions are also reportedly hosting LeGarrette Blount on Friday and already met with DeMarco Murray on Monday.
Gore averaged 9.9 FanDuel points per game last season, with 261 rushes for 961 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding another 245 yards and 1 touchdown on 29 receptions (38 targets).
