Seahawks release cornerback Richard Sherman
The Seattle Seahawks have released cornerback Richard Sherman, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
It's hard to picture Richard Sherman in another uniform, but that's what we'll see in 2018. Sherman was already saying his goodbyes to teammates earlier in the week, so the move wasn't unexpected, but it still feels strange to read. Sherman turns 30 this month and is coming off a torn Achilles, but he figures to get plenty of attention as a free agent. The move will save Seattle $11 million in cap space.
Sherman recorded 35 tackles (25 solo) with 7 pass deflections and 2 interceptions in nine games last season.
