Titans release running back DeMarco Murray
The Tennessee Titans have released running back DeMarco Murray, saving them $6.5 million in cap space.
As has been expected for a while, the Titans are moving on from Murray, and will move forward with Derrick Henry as their new lead back. Playing injured for much of the season, Murray never looked fully right, and didn't appear to have much left in the tank. He will likely be part of a running back committee wherever he signs next.
Over 15 games, Murray turned 223 touches into 925 total yards and 7 touchdowns in 2017.
