Sean McDermott: Releasing Tyrod Taylor not in Bills' plans
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that releasing quarterback Tyrod Taylor is not currently in the team's plans.
McDermott said, "Tyrod is a good player. It's way too early to take anything off the table, other than cutting him at this point, which is not in our plans." The would suggest that if Taylor's' moved it might be via trade. This seconds and earlier report from Ian Rapoport, though Taylor has maintained that he won't be taking a pay cut as he's due a $6 million roster bonus and $10 million in salary in 2018.
This past season, Taylor made 14 starts and 15 total appearances for the Bills. He passed for 2,799 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 4 scores and 427 yards on 84 rushing attempts.
