Joique Bell ruled out for Detroit's Week 5 game
Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 5.
Bell isn't fully over his ankle injury and remains week to week. He hasn't practiced since Week 3.
Bell is averaging only 1.0 yards per carry this season, and he ranks last among backs with at least 20 carries with -0.32 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry. In his absence Ameer Abdullah -- whose -0.05 Rushing NEP per carry is a big improvement over Bell's -- will get the start.
