Rams likely to move on from Trumaine Johnson
With the Los Angeles Rams trading for cornerback Marcus Peters, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team will be moving on from corner Trumaine Johnson.
The Rams and Johnson couldn't agree on a long-term deal after he played on the franchise tag for two straight seasons. The 28-year-old will now head into free agency as one of the top corners on the market. Peters will take his spot on the outside.
Johnson finished 2017 as Pro Football Focus' 68th-ranked corner. He put together 57 tackles, 14 passes defensed and 2 interceptions in 16 games.
