LeGarrette Blount hopes to re-sign with Eagles
Free agent running back LeGarrette Blount said that he hopes to re-sign with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason.
Speaking in an interview with NFL Network, Blount said, "Obviously, I like it a lot there. They like me a lot there." He also went on to praise running backs coach Duce Staley, who could become the team's new offensive coordinator. Working against Blount's return is a tight salary cap and three other viable backs on board. An option would be for him to take a discount in order to make a run at a second straight championship with Philadelphia.
Over 16 games, Blount turned 173 carries into 766 yards and 2 scores. He contributed a single touchdown on 8 catches in the passing game.
