Report: Jets 'willing to pay whatever it takes' to sign Kirk Cousins
The New York Jets are reportedly "willing to pay whatever it takes" to land free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins.
While MMQB's Peter King "guesses" that Cousins will end up with the Denver Broncos, the Jets are also in a good spot to make a run at the coveted signal caller. The Jets are projected to have more cap space, and they could create more to make room for him. The only sticking point could be Cousins' desire to play for a team with a good, proven defense.
In 2017-18, Cousins completed 64.3% of his passes for 4,093 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also ran for 179 yards and 4 scores as he started 16 games for the Redskins.
