Karlos Williams

Karlos Williams misses another Bills practice Friday

Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams (concussion) remained sidelined at Bills practice Friday.

What It Means:

Williams is yet to pass through the league's concussion protocol, so it's hard to see him playing in Week 5. Head coach Rex Ryan has said that Anthony Dixon will start if Williams can't go, but Dixon is reportedly slowed by an injury, as well. That could lead to a heavy reliance on the recently-signed Boom Herron.

Herron presents an interesting case for Week 5. He wasn't overly efficient in 2014, finishing with -2.69 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) over 78 carries. Those numbers are at least respectable, and he'll be joining a team that ranks fourth in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play. Their opponent -- the Tennessee Titans -- are 25th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, so if Herron does get the bulk of the carries, there is upside to be had.
