Frank Gore rushes for 98 yards, touchdown as Colts top Texans
Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore rushed 22 times for 98 yards and a touchdown in Indy's Week 5 win over the Houston Texans.
He wasn't targeted in the passing game. He could have had a second touchdown, but got wrapped up on a goal-line carry. Either way, Gore has put to rest any concerns about his slow Weeks 1 and 2. He's averaging 4.3 yards per carry and has three scores over his past three games.
Among backs with at least 50 carries, Gore entered the game with a Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) total of -4.64, better than just three other running backs. He added 0.93 Rushing NEP in the win. Gore and the Colts host the New England Patriots in Week 6.
